Project Brief

ASMOS is a forward-looking conceptual design project.

It starts with the combination of aerial drone and AI systems to create a more efficient, comfortable, and healthier workplace in the next 5 to 10 years. We’ll be seeing more changes in technology than we’ve seen in the past hundred. Everything will be a part of the whole system so that people in different positions can better integrate into the work environment, and it can also improve the relationships in the workplace.

INSIGHTS & BRAINSTORMING

Through articles research, I understand AI and how the system of it. I also do some research on some most popular products on the market today that use AI technology. Most of these products only use speech recognition and tackle people’s lives but do not fully use the potential of AI. So I use Matrix to define the main problems in the workplace and build personas and map journeys to analyze what AI system opportunities to improve people’s relationships.

DESIGN PROCESS
Design Process
Sketches Development

Thumbnail sketches were firstly used to explore the form of the product, with further sketch work to work out details of the product, modules, final form factors, and potential features.

Concept Sketches & Storyboard

More refined sketches were created before moving into computer-aided design, this allowed targeted work towards concept development and refinement instead of "designing" a product using CAD. A storyboard was also used to explain user case scenarios, reasons for use and highlight how the concept could be used.
